Austria’s forest wealth – the basis of our quality

Austria, one of the most forested countries in Europe with around 47% forest area, is the heart of our raw material supply. The country’s forest area and wood supply are constantly increasing, with an annual increase of around 5,100 hectares, which corresponds to the area of around 10,200 football fields. This natural resource forms the solid basis for the high-quality products of Johann Offner Holzindustrie.

Annual requirements and procurement

Our annual demand for saw logs amounts to 700,000 cubic meters (fm). We attach great importance to fast and reliable procurement and are your competent partner from thinning to final use – at any time of year. Our efficient logistics ensure smooth transportation of the logs directly to our sawmill.

Reliable and fast processing

We process payments quickly and correctly, a quality standard that we have maintained for decades. Logs are invoiced twice a week, which ensures a short period of time from delivery to payment. We also guarantee a high level of transparency in the sorting process, including 4-fold photo documentation of the logs.

Diverse range

We purchase a wide range of log assortments, from chipper logs (12 cm spruce without bark) to end-use logs, including extra thick wood (60 cm MDM up to a maximum of 89 cm). In purchasing for the Offner sawmill in Wolfsberg, we focus on spruce and fir.
